Junior Volunteer - Job Description

Qualifications:

Possess a positive attitude and the
ability to follow directions. Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks. Parents must be willing to Co-sign forms.

Responsbilities:

• One must be able to commute for entire session and provide for one's own transportation.
• Being prompt for lessons
• Complete tasks without interruption of class
• Return tools and supplies to proper storage area
• Responsible to instructor

Etiquette:

Volunteers must wear comfortable, sensible clothes - no sandals, short shorts, crop tops or dangling jewelry. Wear boots/shoes you can work in. Display appropriate behavior around the barn and our clients and their families.

• No "horse play"
• No loud noises

Duties:

• Facility and equipment maintenance
• Running errands
• Getting out/putting up tack and equipment
• Job may include preparing horses for lessons and/or untacking
• Feeding horses and bring horses in/turn out

Volunteer - Job Desciption

Qualifications:

Possess a positive attitude, be able to walk/jog for up to 20 minutes and/or walk on uneven ground. You must be able to lift your arm overhead and maintain for up to 30 minutes. A volunteer must have adequate body size, strength and experience for specified task. All must sign a liability release and confidentiality forms.

Responsibilities:

• One must be able to commit for entire session, and call your own substitutes when you are unable to be at Paradise Ranch at your assigned time.
• Be prompt for lessons
• Relaying to instructor problems with rider or horses
• Abiding by safety guidelines
• Responsible to instructor

Etiquette:

Volunteers must wear comfortable, sensible clothes - no sandals, short shorts, crop tops or dangling jewelry. Wear boots/shoes you can jog/work in. Smoking, foul language, or crude and inappropriate behavior is not tolerated.

Duties:

• Assisting rider in grooming and tacking or fully preparing horse for class
• Leading horse - only those with prior horse experience
• Side walk with rider
• Assisting with barn and equipment maintenance
• May involve bringing horses in/turn out, and feeding
